Today was day 4 of the daily affirmation challenge a group of us ladies are doing. The 30 day affirmation challenge was something put together by one of my favorites mentors Brian Tracy. We started last week because honestly affirmations should be a part of our life daily and we didn’t want to wait any longer. Today’s affirmation is “I am important.”
What is an affirmation? They are positive statements that describe a desired situation or goal, and are often repeated, until they get impressed on the subconscious mind. This process, causes the subconscious mind to to strive and to work on your behalf, to make the positive statement come true. Since today’s affirmation was “I am important.” I would repeat that to myself all day long.
I’ve always been a big fan of positive self talk. I truly believe that you create your own destiny and what you put into the day you will get out of it. I had already decided to make daily positive affirmations a part of my daily routine starting with my mornings so this challenge is really helping me create a lasting habit I plan on using every single day.
I will start my mornings off by repeating the days affirmation to myself. It really helps if you do it where you can really listen to yourself and just be present. Every day my morning routine will consist of meditation and affirmations. Then through out the day I will also repeat it to myself. Sometimes out loud and sometimes in silence. I think it is important for you to hear yourself say the words out loud but saying them in silence is something you can do when you are not alone.
Today I shared a quote on my socials sites that said , “Remove can’t from your vocabulary.” If you keep saying you can’t do something then you won’t even try! Can’t is negative word that really shouldn’t be used. It can create some serious negative energy. So you will want to keep all of your affirmations positive. You CAN do this. You will do this. You did do this.
You also want to repeat your affirmations as if they are happening in the present time and not the future. Example: I am important. I am smart. I am successful. I am confident. I am losing weight. Your body then visualizes what you are saying. You have to really believe it too. Any time during the day your mind isn’t engaged in active thought, fill it with your positive affirmations and see how quickly things change for you.
I know there are some of you that may read this that think I may just have gone off my rocker but my life has gotten so much better in the last two years after adopting these lifestyles. So you may be skeptical but I promise if you let it, positive thinking and telling yourself you CAN do things will take you places.
Don’t take my word for it, do it yourself!
