Once again it has been 5 days since I wrote here for you all to read. I haven’t given up on writing. Not even a little. I’ve actually started a creativity course where you write in a journal for fifteen minutes every morning and every night to help the creativity flow. I love it so much but have to admit that I can barely read the journal entry myself. I’m sure no one else can read it either. That is why I was so excited to take my writing electronic way back in the day and look at me now, back to the basic with something as simple as pen and paper.
The exciting thing about this course is I sit down and set a time and every time for fifteen minutes the words flow. So far I have not had any loss of words. That being said, I tend to not come here and write so that’s why I’m here today! I haven’t left you all, I’ve just shifted my focus for a short time. I promise to do better about getting my two posts a week.
Now, why I am really here. Essential Oils. Oh how I love them ever more and more every day and I am super excited every time I get to share them with someone. Last night I was blessed enough to get to share them with a few people who I think can really benefit from making them a constant in their life. I am so excited that I cannot stop thinking about the class I have set up for Sunday.
Today I want to talk about an essential oil called Cassia. Cassia is a new one I purchased and the truth was I didn’t know anything about it but I am trying to research and try a new oil every month and this month Cassia was on special for 10% off. Cassia is a close relative of Cinnamon and is actually known as the Chinese cinnamon. It comes from the bark of the plant and it is extracted by steam distillation. It has a warm, spicy, cinnamon smell. The aroma is very uplifting. It is known to promote a healthy digestion and support a healthy immune function.
You should avoid Cassia if you are pregnant.
You can use it all three ways. You can diffuse it, you can dilute by putting it in 4 oz of a drink like water or tea, or you can use it topically when you dilute it with a carrier oil. Some may have a sensitivity to it so dilution is recommended. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas and don’t give to your kids.
Cassia blends well with the citrus oils.
Here is a list of ways you can use it:
*Take in a veggie capsule to maintain cardiovascular health.
*Promotes healthy digestion.
*May help support healthy immune system function.
*Has a warm and uplifting aroma.
*Diffuse for feelings of arousal.
*Diffuse with Clove and Ginger during fall and winter for happy holidays.
*Combine one to two drops along with Lemon in a glass of water to aid digestion and ward off hunger cravings.
*Massage with a carrier oil for a warming sensation.
*Put a drop in your water when hiking to support hydration.
